Christ-Centered Christmas -- Day 8
The last verse of the Gospel of John says, Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. Can you imagine? Jesus did so many miracles and amazing things that there are not enough blank pages to contain them all!
Can you further imagine that Jesus actually said we could do even greater things!?! Because of what Christ has done on our behalf, and because of His powerful Spirit that fills us, we can actually do extraordinary things in this world. We truly can be used to do miracles!
Are you ready to be a miracle worker?
THINK
Off the top of your head, list several of Christ’s miracles:
What amazing things could Peter and the other apostles do because of Christ’s Spirit at work within them?
What extraordinary things could happen through you if you opened yourself up and allowed Christ to work through your life?
Where do you need to see a miracle?
PRAY
Thank God for His Spirit which can both fill and empower you
Confess to God, if necessary, relying on your own power instead of the power Christ has available for you
Ask God to use you to do miracles in the lives of others
Ask God to guide you toward a closer more intimate walk with Him
APPLY
Look up Jeremiah 32:27 and answer God’s question in your heart
Determine that if God can do anything, and His Spirit is inside you, then nothing is limiting you except your own fears and doubts!
